The BRAF^V600E melanoma model refers to preclinical mouse melanoma models driven by the oncogenic BRAF V600E mutation, the most common activating mutation in human cutaneous melanoma. Because such models typically respond poorly to immune checkpoint blockade, they are used as a clinically relevant, ICI-resistant system for studying melanoma biology and immunotherapy resistance.
