signaling-pathways

Kindlin-2 (also known as FERMT2) is a FERM-domain-containing adapter protein that binds the cytoplasmic tails of integrins and cooperates with talin to activate integrins, thereby regulating focal adhesion assembly, cell spreading, and cell migration. Its stability and activity can be controlled by ubiquitination, and unrestrained Kindlin-2 signaling has been linked to enhanced integrin activation, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, and increased tumor cell motility and invasiveness.
