signaling-pathways

DDX6 is a DEAD-box RNA helicase best known for its central roles in RNA metabolism, including processing body (P-body) assembly, mRNA deadenylation and decapping, and microRNA-mediated gene silencing. Beyond these canonical functions, DDX6 also interacts with the RNA-editing enzyme ADAR1 to regulate the editing of endogenous double-stranded RNA, linking it to the cell’s innate immune tolerance of self-derived nucleic acids.
